Michael Arriaga Obituary

Michael Eugene Arriaga, known affectionately to all as Michael, passed away suddenly on March 22, 2024, in Dothan, Alabama. Born on March 7, 1992, in Kissimmee, Florida, Michael's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew him throughout his 32 years of life.

Michael's early years were spent in the warm embrace of Kissimmee before he moved to Dothan, where he would spend his formative years and beyond. Attending Rehobeth High School, Michael was known for his dedication to hard work and his unwavering commitment to excellence. His professional life was a testament to this as he honed his skills in the HVAC industry with Daniel Heating and Cooling, earning the respect and admiration of both colleagues and clients.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Michael's passions were manifold. His love for drag racing was well-known, with Panama City and the Cottonwood Drag Strip being the stages upon which he shared his zeal for the sport. Michael's presence at these events was a source of excitement and camaraderie, as he was always ready to share a laugh or lend a helping hand.

Michael's defining role, however, was as a father to his only son, Corbin Arriaga. His love for Corbin was unmatched, and he embraced every moment of fatherhood with joy and pride. Michael's legacy as a caring and devoted parent will undoubtedly live on through Corbin's life and achievements.

Those who knew Michael would often describe him as a beacon of light in any room he entered. His sense of humor was unparalleled, often leaving friends and family in stitches with his quick wit and clever observations. Michael's kindness extended far beyond his immediate circle, touching the lives of all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.

He is survived by a loving family: his son, Corbin Arriaga; his mother, Frances (Javier Bustos) Arriaga; his father, Robert Brown; his brothers, William, Robert, and Richard Arriaga; his sisters, Melissa Snyder and Marie Castaneda; and several adoring nieces and nephews, including Colby Arriaga. Michael's memory will be cherished in the stories they share and the love they continue to hold for him. Michael is preceded in death by his beloved brother, Bobby Joe Brown.

As a friend and a brother, Michael was second to none. His loyalty and compassion knew no bounds, and his ability to uplift and support those around him was truly remarkable. He was the embodiment of love, fun, and kindness, and the impact of his presence will be felt for generations to come.

As we bid farewell to Michael Eugene Arriaga, we take solace in the memories he leaves behind and the indelible mark he has made on our hearts. His laughter, love, and light will continue to guide us, and his spirit will forever be a part of the lives he touched.

Michael's life will be celebrated at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Johnson officiating. He will be laid to rest in Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery following the services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, March 26, 2024 from 4-6 pm. We honor his memory by living out the values he exemplified: love, humor, and kindness. Though he may have left this world too soon, the essence of who he was will never fade.
