Pamela Kay (Stephens) Tedder

Pamela "Pam" Tedder, a beacon of loving warmth and gentle humor, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024, in Ashford, Alabama, after a brave battle with cancer. Born on June 9, 1957, in Augusta, Georgia, Pam's life was a testament to the strength and dedication of a woman who cherished the simple joys of life.

Pam was the beloved wife of Greg Tedder, with whom she shared 42 years of unwavering love and companionship. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and cherished moments. Pam's legacy of love continues through her devoted sons, Steven Newell (Michelle) and William James Tedder (Maggie). She was a proud and doting grandmother to William Newell and Cassandra Newell, who will miss her nurturing presence and gentle guidance.

Pam is survived by her sisters, Connie Guerrieri and Pat Brassell, she also leaves behind her caring sister-in-law, Kay McCluskay, and her nephews, Barry Brassell, Bobby Brassell, and Jeff Arnold (Crystal), who will forever hold dear the memories of their aunt's kindness and her infectious sense of humor. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Edward Stephens and Eleanor K. Eckenrod Stephens, who instilled in her the values of family and love that she carried throughout her life. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Steve Stephens.

A woman of intelligence and ambition, Pam held an associate's degree in business. She took great pride in creating a warm and inviting home for her family, a place where love was the foundation, and every visitor was treated as family. Her role as a caretaker extended beyond her own family, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Pam's love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew her. She found solace and joy in fishing, where the serenity of nature was her companion. Her passion for dogs was unmatched, as she believed in the unconditional love and companionship they offered. Pam's home was adorned with the vibrant beauty of daylilies, a flower she loved for its resilience and bright colors.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Pam will remember her as a woman who embodied the essence of love. She was funny, often sharing jokes and stories that would light up any room. Her gentleness was felt in her every action, and her love was given freely and unconditionally.

Pam's life was a tapestry woven with the threads of care, laughter, and love. She approached each day with a heart full of grace and a spirit that refused to be dimmed, even in the face of illness. Her influence and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all those who shared in Pam's life and supported her through her final days. Her spirit, her love, and her laughter will be deeply missed, but the beauty of her life will remain a cherished memory for all who knew her. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Sunset Memorial Park Chapel with Doug MacCormack officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
