Albert Marion "Tony" Ellison

March 9, 1931 — November 7, 2016

Albert Marion “Tony” Ellison, 85, of Midland City, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 after a brief illness at Flowers Hospital.

He was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama where he attended and graduated from Ensley High School. He attended Auburn University on an NROTC scholarship accepting a commission in the Marine Corps upon graduation. He served as a Marine in Korea during the Korean War. Once the war was over he returned to Auburn to work on his Master’s Degree. Tony worked for Lockheed Missiles and Space for over 35 years in Sunnyvale, CA and Huntsville, AL. He returned to Birmingham after he retired where he was a member of The Concordia Beneficial Society and The Jackals Chapter of the Birmingham Fraternal Council of Clubs.

Tony is survived by his wife Alice Howse Ellison, his children Brenda Fincher Jerry, Randy Ellison Vickie, Brian Ellison Cheryl, Patricia Byers Dave, Jordan Disko Deb, Blair Eurton Wayne, and Meredith L. Harris, 26 grandchildren, 17 greatgrandchildren, and 2 great-greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Ridouts Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, Al 35209.  The Funeral will follow at 11:00 AM.

Burial Date: January 1, 1970
