Alice Pauline Mungie

January 31, 1928 — February 27, 2019

Alice”Pauline” Mungie,affectionately known as Mime,went home to be with the Lord on February 27,2019 ; she was 91. She was born in Brooklyn NY, on January 31, 1928 to the late Louis Abbazia and Ida Abbazia. She graduated high school in Fall River,Mass. While visiting her sister and brother-in-law in California she met her future husband Robert Mungie. Alice was a very hard worker and lived her life for Christ. She was a sales rep for the AVON company for 45 years before retiring. Alice moved from San Diego, CA to Dothan, AL in 2015 with Stephen Mungie to be closer to his granddaughters. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Mungie, her son Stephen Anthony Mungie, her sister and brother-in-law Doris and Glenn Pfrimmer. Her surviving family are her daughter Debbie and Jim Walker from Le moore, CA, daughter-in-law Brenda Mungie and Brenda’s brother David Ammons from Dothan, AL. Her grandchildren are: Jonathan Walker, Carol Joy and Chris Rooney of Berkley,CA, and Samantha Brick and her fiance Gregory Lathery Dothan, AL. Her great grandchildren are Beck Rooney Berkley, CA, Steven Walker Lemoore,CA, Petra Brick, Autumn Brick, and Wynter Brick of Dothan, AL. A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church in Dothan AL, on March 21, 2019 at 6 P.M. with Pastor Doug MacCormack officiating. There will be a potluck fellowship after the service for all who attend. Burial will be at Rosecrans National Cemetary in San Diego, CA, next to her beloved husband Robert Mungie. Sunset Memorial of Dothan,AL, is handling arrangements. A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church in Dothan AL, on March 21, 2019 at 6 P.M. with Pastor Doug MacCormack officiating. There will be a potluck fellowship after the service for all who attend.
