Amanda Elfriede Pontius, a resident of Dothan passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 at her residence. She was 65 years old. Mrs. Pontius was born January 5, 1954 in Toms River, NJ and lived there the early part of her life. She was a 1970 graduate of Toms River North High School and resided at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland where she was employed as a cosmetologist. She later resided in Lebanon, PA where she works as a title search clerk and at a local florist. She has resided in Dothan since 2006 and has enjoyed keeping in contact with all of her northern friends via social media. Survivors include her husband Albert Pontius; sons, Daniel Baker and Brian Baker; daughter, Keirstin Pontius; grandchildren, Jackson Baker and Miles Baker; brother, Pete Yeatman; sister, Louise Motzenbecker; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
