Annie Marion Claytor

Annie Marion Claytor went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 5, 2017. She was born May 29, 1927 in Monticello, WV, and moved to Princeton, WV after high school. She resided in Roanoke, VA until she relocated to Ozark, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Edwards; two brothers, Roy Edwards and Clifford Edwards; a sister, Aretha Smith and a grandson, Ronald Claytor, Jr.

Ms. Claytor leaves to cherish in memory three sons, David (Lois) Claytor of Flint, MI, Ronald (Sherry) Claytor of Fayetteville, NC, and Hiram (Sandra) Claytor of Ozark, AL; one daughter, Sharon Claytor of Sacramento, CA; one brother, Alfred Edwards of Grand Rapid, MI; one sister-in-law, Maeoma Montgomery of Atlanta GA; a special family friend, John Whitfield of Ozark, AL; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.

Ms. Claytor attended Bluefield State College for a short while and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Princeton, WV, First Union Baptist Church of Roanoke, VA, and until her death First Missionary Baptist Church of Ozark, AL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Leonard T. Evans, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the Intensive Care Unit at Dale Medical Center for their care given to our mother.
