Annie Lou Helms

Annie Lou Helms, a resident of Dothan passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Wesley Manor. She was 81.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 2 pm in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5–7 pm on Wednesday. Annie Lou Kelly was born November 3, 1925 in Troy, Alabama to the late John and Will Ella Tolbert. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Otis Helms on September 11, 1946 and to this union four children were born. She was called home to receive her crown Saturday, August 28, 2010.She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jossie Farris and Mae White.She leaves to cherish her memories four sons, Robert Helms, Willie Earl Helms, Earnest Helms and James Helms all of Dothan, AL; twenty grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and sorrowing friends; two special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Creel; a special niece, Lula Mae Glenn; and a special person, Jimmie Walker of Dothan, AL. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
