Annie Lou Lomaneck

Annie Lou Lomaneck, 66, of Eufaula, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Hancock officiating. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. Ms. Lomaneck was born July 18, 1951 in Dale County. She lived her earlier years in the Wiregrass area and resided in Eufaula for the past 2 years. She was employed with the textile industry and later a certified nurses assistant with Southeast Alabama Medical Center's Home Health Care Department for several years prior to her retirement. She wrote a book about her life story called "Annie's World." She was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching soap operas. Annie was also a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Eufaula, AL. Mrs. Lomaneck was preceded in death by her mother and father, a son, several brothers and sisters. Ms. Lomaneck is survived by her son, Jimmy Lomaneck, Jr.; her daughter, Lizzie Strickland; her 6 grandchildren, Joshua Strickland (Lisa), Mileah Williams (Joshua), Joseph Lomaneck, Magan Stickland, Justin Lomaneck, Rebecca Lomaneck and Ryan Ruiz (Haley); her 4 great-grandchildren; her 2 brothers, Roger Dale Powell and Robert Earl Powell; her sister, Betty Ann Green; and several nieces and nephews. Burial Date June 20, 2018 Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Hancock officiating.
