Arah Kathleen Standifer

Arah Kathleen McNab Standifer, a resident of Pinckard, AL passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at her residence. She was 87.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Wood and Rev. Myrice McNab officiating. Burial will follow in Newton City Cemetery with Robert Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Newton First Assembly of God Church, P.O. Box 670, Newton, AL, 36352, or to Wiregrass Hospice, 2640 Headland Ave., Dothan, AL, 36303. Mrs. Standifer was born July 28, 1923 the daughter of Edwin Oree and Nuna Dean McNab. She was a member of Newton First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, of 62 years, Ben Standifer; brothers, Dean, Max, Joe, and Gene McNab; sisters, Iris McKnight, and Lillian McKnight.Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Phillis and Paul Holland of Pinckard, Sherrie and John Crawford of Birmingham; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Kitty Standifer of Pensacola, FL; two sisters and brother-in-law Nell Davenport of Pinckard, Irene and Marvin Long of Dothan; one brother, Fred McNab of Pinckard; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.Serving as active pallbearers will be Jared Phillips, John Isaac Crawford, Noah Crawford, Nick McKnight, Maury McNab, and Miach McNab. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
