Armster Dave" Randall

Armster “Dave” Randall a resident of Dothan passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at his residence. He was 72.

Memorial services with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Park with the Rev. W. Charles Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. Randall was born on July 12, 1936 in Columbus, GA to the late Armster “Buck” Randall and Dorothy Culpepper. He was reared in Chicago, IL and accepted Christ at an early age and after moving to Dothan joined the Dothan Community Church. After high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served for four years. He also attended schools for various trades to include Allied Institute of Technology, Crane Tech, Purdue University N.W., Indiana University N.W., Depaul University and Wallace College. Mr. Randall was also a Master Gardener.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 48½ years Robbie Randall of Dothan; sons, Christopher Randall, Sr. Renee of Atlanta, GA, Dwyane Randall Jeanette of Dothan, Christopher Randall, Jr. of Dothan and his mother Fredrina Alexander of Lansing, MI; grandchildren, Robbie Nichole, Jordan, Derrick all of Dothan; a sister Linda Parks of Chicago, IL; his mother-in-law, Julia C. Byrd of Dothan; sisters-in-law, Lois Shipman Albert Lee of Carson, CA, Bernice Byrd of Barstow, CA, Bettye Jean Jenkins Brissett of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Cooper Nermire of Chicago, IL, Carolyn Byrd Johnson of Dothan, Lueretha Elaine Maynor of Dothan, Jacqueline Vester Reafield of Dothan; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Byrd Loyce of Dothan, Bobby Ray Byrd of Dothan, David Byrd Mary of Dothan; a great Aunt Ella Byrd McCain of Birmingham, AL; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
