Becky Blanford

Becky Blanford, 74, of Dothan passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at her residence.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at St. Columba Catholic Church Chapel with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Blanford was born January 8, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio and lived there until moving to Dothan in 1974. She was employed with Jeffers Vet Supply as a bookkeeper for 20 years until her retirement in 2015.  Mrs. Blanford was a homemaker and the widow of Joseph Blanford, Jr. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an active member of St. Columba Catholic Church and a volunteer with Catholic Social Services.

Survivors include her daughter, Tracy Anne Hawkins; her sons, Joseph Clayton Blanford, III, Robert Michael Blanford, and Thomas David Blanford; grandchildren, Jennifer Bryan, Matthew Hawkins, Amber Blanford, Haley Chudzik, Justin Blanford, Brandon Clark, and Granger Burch; her step-mother, Nellie Andrews; her step-sister, Judy Harney; several nieces and nephews.
