Bennie Wayne Granger

Bennie Wayne Granger passed away on September 18, 2023.  He was a resident of Bryson City, NC and spent his later years in Birmingham, AL.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Paige (Chris) Chatta, and grandchildren Alex and Olivia; son, Adam (Zena) Granger, and grandchildren Sarah and Brendan, sister Joy (Randall) Cobb.  Wayne was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn Granger, father Albert Randolph Granger, mother Christine Hughes Granger, sister Becky Granger, and brother Ronnie (Dorma) Granger.

He was a graduate of Dothan High School; Georgia State University, Atlanta, and completed various certifications with the Gemological Institute of America.  A private family ceremony was held in his honor. Wayne was laid to rest in the Granger section of the Dothan City Cemetery.  The family requests in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the American Heart Association.
