Betty Hamilton Lovely

Betty Hamilton Lovely, a resident of Clayhatchee, AL, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 in Medical Center Enterprise. She was 87. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, February 19, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Robbie Lowe officiating. Mrs. Lovely retired from the NCO Club, US Army Base in Ft. Rucker, AL after 22 years of service. Betty loved working and being around people. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Betty was a "surrogate" grandmother to many people. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, W. T. and Minnie Turner Hamilton, son, Bill Meeks, daughter-in-law, Sara Meeks, sisters, Margaret Jobe and husband Carl, and Dorothy Farr, and husband Paul. Survivors include her husband, Owen E. Lovely; daughter, Anne Harrell and husband Michael; son, Tony Lovely, his wife Julie, and their children, Melinda Maney and her husband, Cecil, and Donna Harris; nieces, Robbie Lowe and Pat Strahan; and a nephew, Jim Jobe; special "family", Darlene Wise, Tony and Charlotte Gilmore, Erica Sonyers and Lee Gilmore; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Medical Center Enterprise for the special care given to Betty and the hospitality extended to her family. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, February 19, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Robbie Lowe officiating.
