Betty Horne Mcneal

Mrs. Betty Horne McNeal a resident of Dothan passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Extendicare Health and Rehab in Dothan. She was 73.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at Sunset Funeral Home in Dothan with Reverend Rick Glenn officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory with Robert Byrd directing. Flowers will be accepted or those wishing may make a donation to the Grandview Baptist Church Building Fund, 2400 Forrester Road, Dothan, Alabama 36301. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. All other times the family will be at the home of Bruce and Angela McNeal, 601 Royal Parkway, Dothan.

Mrs. McNeal was born June 22, 1938, in Houston County, Alabama to the late Floyd Ray and Lena Williams Horne. Two sisters, L.E. Elizabeth Ward and Molly Tindol, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph McNeal, Dothan; a son, Edward McNeal Audrey, Maumelle, AK, a son Bruce McNeal Angela, Dothan, a daughter, Brenda McNeal Morrison Mickey, Martinsburg, WV, a son Jeffrey McNeal Amy, Dothan; grandchildren, Michelle McNeal Watkins Mike, Dr. Jonathan McNeal Elaine, Joseph McNeal Lyndsey, Josh McNeal, Clay McNeal, Stacy Morris, Jessica Yost Adam; great-grandchildren, Madison, Abigail and Christopher Watkins, Addison McNeal and Logan McNeal; four sisters, Christine Parker, Vivian White John, Carolyn Benton Wayne, Marolyn Pich Fred; a brother, Bill Horne Cornelia; several nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Dr. Jonathan McNeal, Joseph McNeal, Josh McNeal, Stacy Morris, Clay McNeal and Ronnie Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Lowery/Mann Sunday School class.
