Betty Bowen Niblack

July 5, 1935 — November 6, 2016

Betty Bowen Niblack, 81, a resident of Dothan passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her residence.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Don Tew officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692.

Ms. Niblack was born July 5, 1935 in Little Rock, Arkansas and moved to Decatur, Georgia at the age of 5 and moved to Dunwoody, Georgia in 1984. She relocated to Dothan in February 2016. She was a homemaker and loved the Lord and wanted more than anything to share her beliefs. She was a loving and kind person and always felt younger than her actual age. She was a member of Dunwoody Baptist Church and enjoyed volunteering in the church Benevolence Center, sharing her testimony to anyone who would listen. She was a perfect example of someone who prayed without ceasing. We always said it was from her heart to God's ear. She prayed for her children, grandchildren, and other family members every day. Our mother was sassy, funny, full of heart, whim and whimsy.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Steve Higginbotham; her  son, George Cherie Niblack; her daughter, Susanne Sidney Goocher; grandchildren, Tyler Karrie McCleskey, Lindsey Niblack, Rider Goocher, and Langleigh Goocher; great-grandchildren, Eli McCleskey and Tate McCleskey.

Burial Date: January 1, 1970
