October 2, 1942 — March 10, 2019

Billy E. "Bill" Moody, a resident of Dothan passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at a local hospital. He was 76 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kyle Gatlin and Dr. Sammy Prim officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to Covenant United Methodist Church, Stephen Ministries. Mr. Moody, also affectionately known as "BB", was born October 2, 1942 in Cullman, AL and spent the early part of his life there, graduating from Fairview High School. He was employed in the grocery industry for many years working primarily for the Bruno's Corporation as a supervisor and manager. His work took him to Cullman, Decatur, Tuscaloosa, Mobile and Dothan where he eventually retired. He was also a Reservist with the Alabama Army National Guard for many years. He has been a resident of Dothan since 1981 where he has been a long-time member of Covenant United Methodist Church and served as a Stephen Minister. Bill enjoyed fishing and working in his yard in his flower beds, but especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Glenda Cargo Moody; his daughter, Sharon (John) Redick; his grandchildren, Tyler Redick and Baylee Redick; his sister, Gwen Pearson; several nieces and nephews also survive. Burial Date March 13, 2019 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kyle Gatlin and Dr. Sammy Prim officiating.
