Billy Ray Hallford

Billy Ray Hallford, 56, of Webb passed away Friday, August 5, 2011 at his residence following a 2 year battle with cancer.

rnFuneral services will be held 11 am Monday, August 8, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. rnMr. Hallford was born April 27, 1955 in Houston County and resided in the Dothan area all of his life. He was employed as a plumber and electrician with Hathcock Roofing and Remodeling and Jackson Gas for several years. He also owned and operated Billy Hallford’s Plumbing and Electric for 25 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Hallford was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Johnnie B. Hallford, a brother, Cecil Hallford, and a grandson, Austin McNeal. rnSurvivors include his wife Linda Hallford; a son James Hallford; a daughter Lori McNeal and her fiancé Derek Tew; grandchildren, Trent Blackman, Nathaniel Blackman, and Penelope Tew; a sister Barbara Cook and her husband Denny. rnServing as pallbearers will be David McKnight, Justin Grubbs, Bobby Love, Billy Ryals, William Ryals, Jr. and Jerome Pynes. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
