Billy Bryant Stanford

Billy Bryant Stanford, a resident of Midland City, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. He was 72 years old.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sunset Funeral Home on Saturday from 10-11 am.

Billy was born on July 18, 1950 in Midland City, Alabama and lived there all of his life. He attended Dale County High School. Billy was employed with Mack Electric for a few years but was later employed with Mercer Grease Company and worked in that industry for over 40 years until his recent illness. Mechanically inclined, Billy could fix almost anything. He could repair a lawn mower in minutes but a true passion for him was to completely rebuild chain saws, his favorite was a 6-foot-tall chainsaw that took two men to operate.

Survivors include his son, Jason Stanford; his daughter, Kimberly Stanford; his four grandchildren, Ariel Franklin, D.J. McCray, Bryant Stanford, and Parker Stanford; his brother, J. B. (Belinda) Stanford; and several nieces and nephews.
