Bobby C. Dasinger

Bobby Crawford Dasinger, 71, a resident of Dothan passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Monday, January 20, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Stringfellow officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Dasinger was born November 6, 1942 in Dale County and lived there most of his life. He was a 1961 graduate of Midland City High School. He was in the restaurant business for over 35 years owning and operating Kampus Korner and later Seafood Junction until his retirement. Bobby loved fishing, watching Nascar and especially spending time with his grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He was elected the youngest councilman in Alabama in 1963 serving on the city council for Midland City. He also serves as a councilman for the town of Grimes. Bobby was a member of Grimes United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Crawford and Arlene Dasinger, and his brother Buddy Dasinger.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years Billie Jo Dasinger; daughters, Kerrie Slaughter Dennis, Pamela Kohler Paul, and Dee Dee Tilley; grandchildren, Jacob Kohler, Joey Kohler, and Amy Cain; brothers, Jimmy Dasinger Terry and Randy Dasinger Judy; several nieces and nephews also survive.
