Bobby C. Jones

Bobby C. Jones, a resident of Dothan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at his residence. He was 71.

Funeral services will be held 10am Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Aaron Dickinson officiating. Graveside services will follow in Blakely City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday. Mr. Jones was born August 19, 1938 in Early County Georgia and lived there the early years of his life. He moved to Dothan in 1966 and he resided here for the past forty-three years. He was employed as a service technician with Williams Lincoln Mercury several years. At the time of his retirement in 2008 he was employed with Bondy’s Ford. Mr. Jones was an avid deer hunter and loved working with his John Deere tractor. He was of the Baptist faith.Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Anne Jones, father Son Jones and his mother, Iva Willis, his daughter, Michelle Anne Jones. Survivors include a son Kevin Jones and his wife Tina of Dothan; two daughters, Tonya Woodward and her husband Tom of Dothan, Gayla Kramer and her husband Tim of Dothan; eight grandchildren, Justin Woodward, Lana Jones, Jessica Woodward, Haley Jones, Blake Jones, Madison Kramer, Morgan Kramer, and Ethan Jones; two brothers, Jerry Jones and his wife, Marie, Arlington, Georgia, Allan Jones and his wife, Anne, Blakely, Georgia; two sisters, Peggy Henry and her husband, Jim, Tallahassee, Florida and Grace Benton and her husband, Larry, Dothan; his step mother, Doris Jones, Attapulgus, Georgia; several nieces and nephews. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
