Bobby D. Smith

Bobby Smith, a resident of Dothan, died at his residence, Wednesday February 24, 2010. He was 67.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chester McFarland officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 pm Friday.Mr. Smith was born April 29, 1942 in Madison, Georgia and resided the early years of his life there. He lived in Saginaw, Michigan prior to moving to Vero Beach, Florida where he joined the United States Marines. Following his military service he was employed with Piper Aircraft as a sheet metal mechanic from 1972 until 1986. In 1986 Mr. Smith moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he resided for one year before moving to Dothan in 1987. Mr. Smith was employed with Pemco for the past 15 years. Mr. Smith was member of the American Legion Post in Montgomery, Alabama.Survivors include his wife, Chestene Smith, Dothan; his daughter, Donna Reese, Ozark. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
