Bonnie Hughes Rudd

Bonnie Hughes Rudd, 73, of Cottonwood passed away Tuesday, May, 31, 2011 at a local hospital.

rnFuneral services will be held 11 am Friday, June 3, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Austin Phillips officiating with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 am until 11 am Friday. rnMrs. Rudd was born August 7, 1937 in Midland City and she resided there the early years of her life. Mrs. Rudd was a homemaker and an avid gardener and at the time of her death she was residing in Cottonwood. Mrs. Rudd was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her daughter, Gayle Skinner, her parents, Morton and Essie Hughes and a brother, Jack Hughes. rnSurvivors include her husband Tommy Rudd, Cottonwood; sons, Ronnie Pam Skinner, Dothan, Phillip Skinner, Cowarts, Mark Skinner, Lawrenceville, IL and Cory Rudd, Cottonwood; daughters, Margie Danny Traylor, Anita Tony Blair, Foley, AL; her brother, Morton “Buster” Hughes, Jr.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews. rnA special thank you is extended to Cottonwood Rescue Squad; staff of Southeast Alabama Medical Center ER and Critical Care Nurse, Lisa Sheppard; Dr. Thomas J. Barkley and Dr. Sylvia Rushing. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
