Brenda Bass

Brenda Bass, 62, a resident of Dothan, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Flowers Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Elliott and Rev. Robbie Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.

Brenda was born September 7, 1953 in Meigs, Georgia and she resided the early years of her life in Thomasville, Georgia. She attended Central High School and graduated from Wallace College with a degree in Cosmetology. She owned and operated Brenda's Family Hair Care in Echo, AL until her retirement in 2013. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and Gatlinburg as well as spending time with her family and grandbabies. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Kenneth Bass, her parents, Buford and Erie Anderson, her granddaughter, Ashley Jordan Bass, and her brothers, Wayne and Jackie Anderson.

Survivors include her son, Tony Kim Bass; her daughter, Stephanie Smith fiancé James Adkinson; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Bass, Kaitlin Bass, and Tyler Bass; her brothers, Ronnie Jahaza Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, and Kenneth Anderson; her sisters, Cecelia Womble and Glenda Williams; several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Anderson, Rodney Anderson, Ryan Allen, James Adkinson, Timothy Adkinson, and Robert York.
