Bryan Thomas Sansone

September 12, 1984 — July 22, 2024

Bryan Thomas Sansone, known affectionately as Bryan to his friends and family, passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 39 in Dothan, Alabama. Born on September 12, 1984, in Arlington, Virginia, Bryan was a man of remarkable talent and creativity, whose life was marked by service, artistry, and an unwavering dedication to his loved ones.

Bryan's early education was unique, as he was homeschooled from the sixth grade, a period during which he developed a love for learning and a passion for creative pursuits. His commitment to learning was recognized when he received an offer from the prestigious West Point. His artistic talents were evident from a young age, particularly in his paintings and music. Bryan's ability to play the piano was not just a hobby, but a testament to his dedication to the arts and his creative spirit.

Following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Bryan felt a strong call to serve his country. He joined the Army and served for four years, where he became a skilled communications expert. Bryan's time in the military included a tour in Iraq, where he served with honor and distinction as an Iraq veteran.

After his military service, Bryan moved to Dothan in 2006, where he quickly became a valued member of the community. He began his career with Navigator, beginning in Enterprise who sent him to Macedonia, where his problem-solving skills and ability to work with his hands were highly appreciated. Bryan also worked as a bouncer at Houligans, bringing a sense of safety and camaraderie to the establishment.

His talents as a handyman were further showcased in his work at All Season Sun Rooms and Kings Church Furniture. Bryan's proficiency in wood and ironworking allowed him to create beautiful and functional pieces, a reflection of his artistic vision and meticulous craftsmanship.

Bryan's creative spirit was not confined to his professional life. He was a problem solver by nature, always ready to lend a hand or share his expertise. His paintings and piano playing were sources of joy for him and those around him, and his ability to craft solutions in wood and iron was nothing short of remarkable.

Bryan is survived by his loving parents, Mike and Debbie Sansone; his cherished grandparents, Elaine Patton and the late Robert and Elizabeth Patton; and a host of other family members who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Watt and Alline Tackett.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
