Caleb Green, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on January 21, 2025, in Midland City, Alabama, at the age of 37. Born on June 23, 1987, Caleb's life was marked by his boundless courage, selflessness, and friendly nature that endeared him to all who knew him.
Caleb was a graduate of Dale County High School, where he was known for his bright smile and willingness to lend a helping hand. His passion for service led him to become a volunteer firefighter in Pinckard, a role in which he demonstrated his bravery and commitment to the well-being of his community. Professionally, Caleb dedicated himself as a fleet mechanic for the City of Dothan, ensuring the safety and reliability of the city's vehicles. He was on the cusp of furthering his dedication to helping others as he prepared to start EMT School.
An all-around good guy, Caleb's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his loving parents, Tim Green and his wife Tammy, and Michelle Andrews and her husband Michael; his siblings, Zach Green (Kristyn), Kali Green, and Megan Andrews; his grandparents, Jim Wood, and JW and LouVera Andrews; his aunts and uncles, Dennis and Cheryl Wood, Jimmy and Cheryl Turvin, Linda Welch, Rick and Bobbi Santos, Steven and Stephanie Robison, Tracy and Patsy Barron, and Bill and Samra Robison. Caleb's special cousin, Tiffany Ivey, who was like a sister to him, along with numerous other cousins, and several nieces and nephews, will also hold his memory dear.
His life was a testament to his character, as Caleb was always one to show up with a helping hand and a smile. Whether it was fixing a car or supporting a friend, he gave his all with a cheerful spirit. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and joy in the tranquility of nature. An enthusiastic Alabama fan, Caleb's infectious enthusiasm for his team brought laughter and camaraderie to every game watched in the company of friends.
Caleb's legacy is one of love, service, and joy. He approached life with a courageous heart, never hesitating to put the needs of others before his own. His selfless actions and friendly demeanor created a ripple effect of kindness in the world around him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Judy Wood, Louise Robison, Johnny, and Jeretha Fondren, and his aunt and uncle, Wayne and Lauri Rogers. The legacy of Caleb's kind spirit, zest for life, and the joy he brought to others will continue to live on through those who were fortunate enough to know him.
The world is a lesser place without Caleb Green, but his memory will be a beacon of light for all who cherished him. He will be profoundly missed, yet the stories of his courage, selflessness, and the friendly warmth he shared will be recounted for years to come, ensuring that his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of his loved ones.
Caleb's life will be celebrated on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 2:00pm in the Sunset Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Paul Edenfield and Andy Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will be held in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Pinckard Fire Department in Caleb’s honor.
