Camron D'Angelo Jones

March 1, 2005 — June 26, 2023

Dothan

Camron D'Angelo Jones, known affectionately as Camron, was born on March 1, 2005, in North Carolina. He was a spirited young man who, on June 26, 2023, left the stage far too early in Dothan, Alabama following a tragic car accident. His life may have been cut short, but his impact and the joy he brought to those around him will forever be remembered.

Camron, the beloved son of Cynthia and John Jones, his mother and stepfather, and Damian Jones, his father, was the brightest star in their lives. The love and joy he brought to his grandparents, Insuk and Nick Bongiorno, and Arthur Mae Jones, Linda Jones, and Wendell Jones were immeasurable. His sisters, Makalia Williams, Kirsten Jones, Kimora Jones, and Londynn Jones, will forever cherish the laughter, the pranks, and the bond they shared with their brother. An extended family, along with a host of friends, will continue to celebrate his life, his spirit, and his memory.

Born in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, Camron moved to Dothan, Alabama in 2009. His educational journey started at Kelly Springs Elementary, continued at Carver Magnet School, and Dothan High School. He graduated in 2023. His presence in these institutions was like a breath of fresh air, turning every mundane school day into an episode of a sitcom.

Camron was an athlete, a scholar, and a boy scout. He played baseball and basketball at Dothan High School, but his true love was football. His teammates will remember him not just as a formidable player, but also as the life of the locker room. His humor and camaraderie were as essential to the team as his athletic prowess.

A lover of music, particularly rap, Camron was often found freestyling or composing his own lyrics. His outgoing personality made him the center of attention, and his sense of humor made sure he stayed there. He was the cool kid, the funny guy, the friendly spirit who could light up any room he walked into.

The words of the great comedian Robin Williams seem fitting here, "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." Camron lived this quote to its fullest. His spark of madness, his unique blend of humor, and his love for life, left everyone he met a little brighter, a little happier.

A celebration of Camron's life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Flowers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12-1 pm.

Camron D'Angelo Jones was a beacon of laughter, a ray of sunshine, and a whirlwind of joy. His spirit will forever echo in the hallways of Dothan High School, on the sports fields he graced, and in the hearts of his family and friends. His life was a testament to living every moment to the fullest, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him. While his departure is deeply mourned, his life is celebrated, for he lived it with humor, love, and a touch of madness.
