Carey Zane Grey

Carey Zane Grey of Dothan, Alabama went to be with his Lord on July 8, 2017. He was 83.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 11:30 am at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Rickey Plummer officiating and Robert Byrd directing. Family will receive friends at the church starting at 11 am until service time. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the new Christian School at Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Grey was born in Kingstree, South Carolina. He served his country with the Air Force for 20 years. After retirement from the Air Force, he worked in management and sales at Williams Pontiac-Cadillac, Tommy Thomas Cadillac and other dealerships throughout his career. Zane always had a way of making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Grey; his brothers, Gene Grey and Charlie Grey; and his sister, Ida Hallman.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Sapp Grey; his children, Jan Grey, Johnny Grey and Jimmy Grey; his step-son, David Sapp; grandchildren, Johnna Grey, Erin Griffith, Cody Cripe, Dillon Grey, Cheyenne Sapp and Carlanna Grey; and his great-grandchildren, Regan Van Slyke, Alana Cripe and Blakely Grey.

The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice and all who helped care for him.
