Carlton B. "Chip" Langford, Jr., 49, of Enterprise passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be 1pm Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Dr. Albert Roy Stewart, Rev. Jason Johnson and Tim Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to AA Group of Level Plains, or Haven of Grace Baptist Church, “Missions Program” Daleville or First United Methodist Church Enteprise “Celebrate Recovery Program” Enterprise. The family will receive friends in the Sunset Reception Center from 12 pm until 1 pm Sunday. Food may be brought to the funeral home for the reception.
Chip was born July 31, 1962 in Athens, Georgia and he moved to Daleville at an early age. He attended Daleville High School and was a 1980 graduate of Marion Military Institute. Chip was employed with Langford Quality Cars in Daleville for over 35 years. He was a mason and a member of Haven of Grace Church. Chip was preceded in death by his daughter Amy Elizabeth Langford.
Survivors include his wife, Jill Langford; his son, Carlton Bobby “Trey” Langford, III; his step-son, Elijah Chavers; his daughters, Christina “Kissy” Kay Hunter Lockett and Heather Lou Hagen; his parents, Bobby and Elizabeth Langford; his brother, Carl Benjamin Theresa Langford; his sister, Janet Langford Bonci; nieces and nephews, Cole and Ragan Langford, Zach and Ryan Bonci.
