Carolyn Montez (Henderson) Beard

Carolyn Beard, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on April 10, 2024, in her hometown of Dothan, Alabama. Carolyn was born on November 17, 1934, to the late Odell and Ruby Henderson in Dothan.

Carolyn spent several years sharing her warmth and dedication as an employee at Sears, making countless friends and leaving indelible impressions on all she interacted with. She was admired for her impeccable work ethic and her capacity for kindness, qualities that she carried into every aspect of her life.

She is survived by her son, Christopher O'Connell (Josephine), grandchilden, Kristina Connell and Steven Umbro; great grandchild, Aubrie Connell; her brothers, Denny (Sue) Burkett, Jerry Clemmons (Sue), Lester Burkett (Lisa), and Ray Burkett; her sisters, Mary Hutto, Tammy Barden, and Cindy Harmon; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn's life was a testament to unwavering kindness. Her companionship was a source of comfort and delight to those who knew her. She spent her years living between South and Central Florida, where she embraced life's simple pleasures, always with a generous heart and a friendly smile.
