Carrie Hartman Trawick

Carrie Hartman Trawick, of Dothan, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2009 at Westside Terrace. She was 92.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Lewis officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2 pm in New Brockton Cemetery, New Brockton, AL with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the New Brockton Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 358, New Brockton, Alabama 36351.Mrs. Trawick was preceded in death by her parents William Henry Hartman, Jr. of Barbour County, AL and Lula Virginia Martin of Coffee County, AL and her husband Ross Levi Trawick of Dale County, AL.Born and raised in New Brockton, Coffee County, AL, Mrs. Trawick also resided in Columbus, GA where she was employed by Carpenter and Henderson Plumbing Company for 28 years. At the age of 16, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord during a Revival at New Brockton First Baptist Church and was later a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Columbus, GA and most recently, Calvary Baptist Church in Dothan, AL. Mrs. Trawick is survived by her three sons, William Franklin Nancy Dunn Trawick, Tifton, GA, Larry Ross Meredith Drew Trawick, Saint Simons Island, GA, and David Lawrence Trawick, Dothan, AL; four grandchildren, Caroline Browning Trawick, Elizabeth Dunn Trawick, William Lee Katherine Hobbs Trawick, and Jonathan Hartman Lauren Basden Trawick; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Noel Trawick, Kalli Nicole Trawick, and Anderson Hartman Trawick.
