Carylon Louise Williford

Carylon Louise Williford, a resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday January 25, 2017 at a local hospital. She was 78.

Funeral Services will be 3 pm Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Brackin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Carylon was born on May 27, 1937 in Newton, AL. She graduated from Dothan High School in 1957. She and her husband owned N.P. Ltd. Florist and Fins and Flipper Tropical Fish Shop in Savannah, Georgia for eleven years before deciding to return to her home in Dothan. Carylon loved her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She grew amazing orchids and was always busy cross stitching, crocheting and crafting gifts for family and friends. Her most recent passion was knitting for other cancer patients. Carylon was proceeded in death by her parents, Carson William and Johnnie Louise (Fails) Howell.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, LTC (Ret) Henry Grady Williford, Jr. and three children: Joya Ann Wallace (Bill) of Dothan, Henry Grady, III (Anna) of Dothan, John Carson Williford (Christy), nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sister, Sarah Helon Cutler (Harold) of Dothan and brother, David Carsa Howell, and many nieces and nephews. Serving as active pallberarers will be her six grandsons, Spiro Cheriogotis, Daniel Meissner, Billy Williford, Henry Williford, IV, Carson Williford and Brandon Williford.
