Cecil Howell

Cecil Howell, 80,  a resident of Dothan, passed away Friday March 18, 2016 at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 4 pm on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Crestlawn Cemetery with Brother Franklin Wood officiating and Robert Byrd of Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends following the services

Mr. Howell was born November 1, 1935 in Panama City, Florida and he resided most of his life in the Dothan area.  He was employed with Colonial Baking Company and later with Farley Nuclear Plant as a security guard and returned to Colonial Baking Company with 38 years of service until he retired in 2001. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing at every opportunity. Mr. Howell was a member of Cowarts Assembly of God.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Trista Howell; his step-son and step daughter-in-law, Danny and Lois Osteen; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother, Larry Howell; his 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Helen and Bobby Chalker and Edna Johnson;  several nieces and nephews.
