Charles Alan Wright, a resident of Dothan passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at his residence. He was 44.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Wright and Kelly Colbert officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Rd., Dothan, AL, 36303.Alan was born on November 29, 1966 in Houston County and lived in Dothan all of his life. He was a 1985 graduate of Northview High School and a 1990 graduate from Troy University in Dothan with a degree in Accounting. Alan was a CPA with Oakley, Wright & Hart, from 1999-2010. He was an avid duck hunter and enjoyed taking trips to Arkansas and was also involved with coaching Little League Baseball with his boys and enjoyed playing golf. Alan was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and on the Finance Committee. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited, the AICPA, and the Dothan Kiwanis Club.Alan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hubert Allen and Opal Boothe Wright, Sandy Alexander, and Margaret King Sawyer.Survivors include his wife Carol Lee Wright of Dothan; his sons, Colby Sawyer Wright of Dothan and Bailey King Wright of Dothan; his mother Kay Shaughnessy and her husband Rick of Dothan; his father Charles Wright and his wife Jane of Dothan; a sister TC Phillips and her husband Neal of LaGrange, GA; a sister-in-law Amy Park and her husband Aubrey of Dothan; nieces and nephews, PVT. Jordan Park, Everett Park, Madison Phillips, and Jon Alan Phillips; several cousins, aunts and uncles also survive.Serving as active pallbearers will be Casey Colbert, Scott Powell, Kevin Scarbrough, Joey Layton, Marty Marshall, and Dr. Tony Narducci.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Covenant Hospice, Dr. John Dunn and his staff, Dr. Patrick Kelly and his staff, and UAB Neuro-Oncology. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
