Charlotte Gayle Rushin

Charlotte Gayle Rushin, a resident of Midland City, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2009 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 73.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Midland City Methodist Church with Rev. Donna Cumbie officiating. Burial will follow in Midland City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Midland City Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Midland City Methodist Church, P. O. Box 376, Midland City, AL, 36350.Mrs. Rushin was born on October 10, 1935 in Dale County and lived in Midland City the early part of her life. She met and married Walter Rushin in San Francisco in 1960 and they moved to Metairie, LA where she lived for over 30 years prior to moving to Midland City in 1993. She was a member of Midland City Methodist Church and an active member of the Methodist Women’s Group and the Early Bird Supper Club.Survivors include her husband Walter Rushin of Midland City; sons, James Allen Rushin and his wife Shelley of Midland City, William Craig Rushin and his wife Ellen of Prarieville, LA; 8 grandchildren, Kimberly, Alicia, Sarah, Krista, Bethany, Malachi, Joshua, Breanne; a cousin David Dozier and his wife June of Midland City. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
