Christopher "Cj" Giles

July 6, 1991 — May 23, 2024

Dothan

Christopher Jacob Giles, known as CJ, embraced life with an adventurous spirit and an infectious enthusiasm that touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Born on July 6, 1991, in Dothan, Alabama. CJ was a loving son to April and Dennis Stewart. He grew up alongside his devoted sister, Madison Miller, and her husband, Connor, and his nephew, Brooks Miller. CJ's family circle included his uncle, Brian Birchfield, and his PaPoo, Ricky Sanders from Vincent, Alabama. He is also survived by, Christopher Scott Giles, and his grandparents, Bob and Sue Stuckey, of Opp, Alabama, along with numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

CJ's early years in Dothan were marked by a passion for excitement and the outdoors, a theme that would define much of his life. After graduating from Dothan High School in 2009, he carried with him not just a diploma, but a zest for life that was truly rare. CJ was a man who found joy in the thrill of the race; at the tender age of six, he discovered BMX and quickly moved on to the world of Motocross, where he found his true calling and an enduring passion.

On May 23, 2024, CJ's vibrant life came to an unexpected close in Dallas, Texas. He was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew him, and his sudden departure has left an indelible void. His life was full of adventure but was also full of trials. CJ's memory will be lovingly cherished and honored by all who were fortunate enough to have been part of his journey.

CJ's family is deeply saddened by his passing but takes comfort in knowing that his spirit will forever soar freely, much like he did on his beloved Motocross tracks. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gloria Sanders, Tim Birchfield, and Jane Birchfield, as well as by his beloved brother, Kaleb Giles.

As we bid farewell to CJ, we reflect on a life that, though brief, was lived with an intensity and purpose that many aspire to but few achieve. He had an innate ability to make every moment count and to inspire those around him to chase their dreams with the same fervor he did. CJ's memory will be carried on in the hearts and stories of those who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire us all to embrace life's adventures with courage and joy.

CJ's family will gather to honor his life at 2 pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Harvest Church with Pastor Larry Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1-2 pm. As we mourn the loss of Christopher Jacob Giles, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led and the countless ways in which he enriched our lives. CJ's journey on earth may have ended, but his story will continue to be told by those who loved him, ensuring that his adventurous spirit will never fade.
