Christopher E. Thomas

Christopher Elan Thomas, 21, of Dothan passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Mobile, AL.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Northview Christian Church. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. Christopher will lay in state for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Christopher was born November 26, 1992 in Dothan, AL and lived all of his young life here. He was a 2011 graduate of Northview High School where he was a member of the Jazz, Symphonic, and Marching Band holding the title of Section Leader. Christopher was also a volunteer with Southeast Alabama Medical Center during his high school years where he logged in more than 1290 hours and was the President of the Health Occupations Students of America during his senior year and traveled to Anaheim, CA representing that organization. Christopher was currently a student at the University of South Alabama where he was seeking a degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice. He was the Financial Director for Jaguar Productions USA activities board, and belonged to the Debate Society and the College Republicans. Christopher was a proud member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clayton Thomas, Jr, Stella Ann Thomas and Craydell Walker.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Latrina Thomas-McWilliams and Larry McWilliams; his father Christopher Elan Bighem Kia; a sister Katarina McWiliams; grandparents, Kathleen Thomas, Edgar Walker, and Peggy Bighem; great-grandparents, Christine Thomas and Joe Bighem; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
