Clara Jean Wise Mcinish

Clara Jean Wise McInish of Dothan died October 23, 2016 at Extendicare. “CJ” was born August 28, 1926 in Geneva, Alabama and was a graduate of Huntingdon College. She taught in the Mobile and Dothan City School systems for ten years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Dwight McInish; her parents, John Allen Wise and Annie Mae Russell Wise Samson; and her brother, James A. Wise Samson.

She is survived by her children, Peter A. McInish, Dothan, and Ruth McInish Williamson Rich of Montgomery. She was a loving grandmother to Mary Margaret Vick Josh Birmingham; Peter A. McInish, Jr., New York, New York; Elizabeth Williamson, Atlanta; Ashley Williamson, Montgomery; and Richard Williamson, Montgomery, a sister, Ruth Wise Williams Sylacauga and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 28, at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel.

Mrs. McInish was a member of the First Baptist Church and served in the Dothan Service League. She enjoyed hosting parties, Alabama football, playing bridge, traveling and fashionable clothes. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Wallace Community College Foundation, 5565 Montgomery Hwy., Dothan, Alabama 36303 or the First Baptist Church of Dothan, 300 W. Main Street Dothan, Alabama  36301, or a favorite charity.
