Clara Ruth Petrie

Clara Ruth Petrie, a resident of Ozark, Alabama passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at her residence. She was 99. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 3 pm in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS with Rev. Robert Hill officiating. Clara was born on March 8, 1919 in Cleveland, Mississippi and lived her early years there. After marriage, she moved to Ruleville, MS and resided there until moving to Ozark, Alabama in 2011. She was a homemaker and loved being a mother and grandmother. She was a member of Ruleville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Petrie, Sr; and her son, David Lee Petrie, Jr. Survivors included her son, Wayne (Sharon) Petrie; her grandchildren, Kim Smith, Danny Petrie, Linnee Davis, Patty Gibson, Donna Windle, Jennifer Dorris, Julie Wiley and Brian Petrie; and several great-grandchildren.
