Clyde Lomanack, of Echo, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Flowers Hospital. He was 70 years old. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Judy Dyson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church in Echo, AL. The family will receive friends 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Lomanack was born April 19, 1948 in Henry County, AL and spent the early part of his life in Abbeville and Echo. He was a truck driver for over 30 years primarily for M.O. Carroll Newton Grocery until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed farming, fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Marcus Clyde Lomanack, his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife Sue Lomanack; sons, Thomas (Tracy) Lomanack and Tim (Kim) Etzler; a daughter, Linda (Robert) Pettus; grandchildren, Joey Rhoades, Wesley Lomanack, Scott Etzler, Brandon Etzler, Alan Pettus, Aaron Pettus, and Sabrina Pettus; great-grandchildren, Harley Rhoades, Jack Rhoades, Alena Lomanack, and Kaitlenn Lomanack; a sister, Mary Byrd; numerous nieces and nephews.
