Craig Curry

Craig Curry, 57, of Currytown, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at his residence following a short battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be 2 pm Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Stone officiating and Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 2740 Headland Ave., Dothan, AL, 36303.

Craig was born June 14, 1956. He graduated from Dale County High School in 1974. After graduation, he moved to Dallas, Texas where he worked as an electrician with B's Electric Company until he opened his own business, CRAIGCO. He returned home in 1997 where he continued to work as an electrician until his recent illness. He was an avid Alabama Football fan.

Craig was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom and Annie Mae Curry, Ray and Annie Mae Herring, his father Roy Curry, a nephew Brandy King, and the mother of his daughters, Valerie Dunn Curry.

Survivors include his wife Diane Curry; his daughters, Kayse Jonathan Phelps, and Stacey Louis Saucedo; his mother Dot Curry; his sisters, Cindy Chic Gary, Lydia Rob Jagger, and Jan Joey Godwin; his brother Bert Curry; grandchildren, Justin, Lana, Leah, Xavier, Julianna, Valerie, and Louis, Jr.; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to thank the staff of Gentiva Hospice for the professional care and kindness expressed during the last few months.
