Cressida Shantell James

Cressida James was born to LaBrenda Condry and Winfred James on October 3, 1981, in Dothan, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 10:00 am in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Gates of Heaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for 1 hour prior to the service.

Cressida enjoyed dancing, talking, music, and family. She worked at Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center/Flowers from 1999 to 2010. She was a member of New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. Cressida was pure in heart, mind, and body. Her love was poured into her children (dolls).

On Sunday, August 22nd, God called his faithful servant home to rest. Miss Cressida James passed peacefully at her home in Dothan. She was preceded in death by grandparents - J.W. Condry, Dorothy Thomas, and Weldon Thompson.

Cressida leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters - Tara James, Armani James, Jasmine James, and Alexis James; one son - Michael James; mother - LaBrenda Condry; father - Winfred James, Sr. (Ghuetta); sister - Zabrina James-Swain (Thomas); brother - Winfred “JR” James Jr.; step-sister - Iris Darrington; step-brother - Johnny Hickman; maternal grandmother - Janelle McKinney; nieces - Zykeriah McCray and Zabryia Swain; nephews - VaZarius James and Zaidynn Swain; a special aunt - Felicia Condry; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
