Cubie Dean Hill

Cubie Dean Hill, a resident of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at a local hospital surrounded by her family. She was 75.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11 am in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with James Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 am prior to the services.

Mrs. Hill was born on January 27, 1942 in Midland City, Alabama. She moved to Deland, Florida where she resided for 15 years before moving to Dothan in 1969 and has resided there since. Mrs. Hill was a loving mother, grandmother and caregiver to everyone. She loved to dote on her family and friends and enjoyed cooking for them. Mrs. Hill also enjoyed sewing and working crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doorther Hill; her daughters, Viola Hill and Dorothy Jean Thornton, son-in-law Donnie Gene Thornton; her granddaughters, Victoria Hill and Anethera West.

Survivors include her sons, James (Eva) Hill, Doorther Hill, Gary (Katrina) Hill and Milton Hill; her daughters, Virginia Morgan, Lovell Hill, Sherian (Earl) Lawrence, Lawanda (Michael) Hill and Angela Hill; 43 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her brothers, Sonny Franklin, Sam Franklin, Jimmy Franklin and John (Barbara) Franklin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
