Daniel G. Carmichael, 48, of Dothan passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 at his residence.

rnFuneral services will be held 3 pm Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Don Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Saturday, July 30 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 2576 Montgomery Hwy. Suite 2, Dothan, AL, 36303. rnMr. Carmichael was born December 2, 1962 in Alexandria, VA and lived there the early part of his life. He moved to Dothan in 1970 and was a 1981 graduate of Northview High School. He attended East Tennessee State University on a football scholarship and graduated with a Bachelors degree. Mr. Carmichael owned and operated Carmichael Appraisal Service for several years until his illness. He enjoyed playing golf in his spare time and attended Rainbow-Meadows Baptist Church where he was saved. rnSurvivors include his daughter Lauren Taylor Wymes Cedrick of Ashford; his son Daniel Kace Carmichael of Rhode Island; a grandchild Isaiah Wymes; his parents Robert F. and Catherine Carmichael of Dothan; a brother David E. Carmichael of Dothan; sisters, Debbie Norris Jim of Dothan and Dawn M. Hogan Patrick Clark of Dothan; nieces and nephews, Chuck Robbins, Tanner Carmichael, Christopher Carmichael, Hunter Norris, Sammy Norris, Danielle Hogan, and Payton Hogan. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
