Danny Johnson, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at his residence. He was 65. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Perry Crews and Willie Fraizer officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The viewing of the body will held at the funeral home from 11-12 noon on Saturday. Mr. Johnson was born on October 23, 1952 in Houston County, Alabama and lived in Dothan most of his life. He was a 1970 graduate of Dothan High School. Following high school, he joined Job Corp and worked there for several years. He resided in Fort Worth and Arlington, Texas before returning to Dothan. Danny was employed with Dixie Fence Company for several years prior to his medical retirement. He loved to play video games and enjoyed traveling with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Matthews, a brother, Wayne Johnson, and his stepson, Milton Jones. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Johnson; his stepson, Jeremy Jones; his 3 stepdaughters, Lakeisha Jones, Brandy Jones, and Kimberly (Correy) Willis; his 12 grandchildren; his father, Robert Johnson; his uncle, LeRoy Johnson; his brothers, Calvin Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Bernard (Louette) Johnson, Larry Johnson, Robert Matthews, Rombulus Matthews, and Roderick (Paige) Matthews; his sisters, Sybil G. Edwards, Antoinette Stephens, and Moya (Frederick) Berry; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Perry Crews and Willie Fraizer officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The viewing of the body will held at the funeral home from 11-12 noon on Saturday.
