Darrius James Granger

A celebration of his life will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.

DJ was born on August 25, 1991 and was a 2010 graduate of Dale County High School. DJ met the love of his life, Jolene Blackmon, when he was only 12 years old. He was a dedicated family man who loved his wife and children unconditionally and was always thinking of them and putting them first. DJ also loved his Momma and touched everybody he met. He was a kind-hearted, silly man who brought laughter and joy to everyone he met. DJ enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing basketball and riding his bike with his friends.

Survivors include his wife, Jolene Granger; his children, Khaidyn Granger (10) and Khyron Granger (2); his parents, Jerry and Helen Flucker; his father and mother in law, James and Eva Blackmon; his maternal grandparents, Sandra (Robert) Walden; his siblings, Clarence Davis, Jr., Avery Davis, Tracey Jackson, Houston (Tasha) Lindsay, Lamar (Macy) Granger and Janae Madric; a sister in law, Laura (Kyle Watson) Blackmon; his godfather, Daniel Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family members.

The men who will be serving as pallbearers, DJ loved as brothers; Michael Lingo, Jelani Ambrose, Jeremy Lewis, Mackenzie Lingo and Kyle Watson. His brothers will also be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his two sons.
