David Raymond Bauer

David Raymond "Dave" Bauer, 86, a residence of Dothan passed away Thursday November 20, 2014 at a local hospital.

Mr. Bauer was born June 7, 1928 in Bradford, PA to Raymond Bauer and Arlene Coulter Bauer. As a teenager he moved to St. Petersburg, FL where he received an Associates in Arts from St. Petersburg Junior College. He later attended The University of Alabama and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration. After graduation he served in the United States Army as a 1st Lieutenant. When his military duties were complete, he moved to Dothan, AL and worked at the Houston County Health Department as a Health Inspector retiring in 1990. Although he had no surviving biological family he was an active member of the Wright clan where he wore the hats of “dad”, “grandpa”, “neighbor”, and “best friend” among others.

There was a memorial mass on Tuesday, Nov. 25th at 9:30am at St. Columba Catholic Church where he was a member.
