David Lawrence Ward

David Lawrence Ward passed away peacefully at his daughter's house in Dothan on July 13, 2018 after an extended illness. He was 60 years old. David was born in Enterprise, Alabama on February 22, 1958, to Ray Ward and Bernice Frances Thompson. He graduated from Carroll High School with the class of 1976. He began his career with the Ozark Fire Department in 1979. He retired in October of 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Linda Turner and Gaye Formby. David is survived by his daughter, Jenifer Gandy (Joey), son Joshua Ward and two grandchildren, Avery Ward and Emma Gandy. He is also survived by his sister Pam Turner and brother Sammy Turner. Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 1700 Barrington Road in Dothan, Alabama, at 2 pm on Sunday July 15, 2018. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Covenant Care Hospice 1512 W Main St, Dothan, AL 36301 or Southcare Specialty Services 220 Donnell Blvd Daleville AL 36322 Burial Date July 15, 2018 Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 1700 Barrington Road in Dothan, Alabama, at 2 pm on Sunday July 15, 2018.
