Debra Ann Floyd

Debra Floyd, a beacon of kindness and faith, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, at her home in Webb, Alabama. Born on August 19, 1958, in Florida, Debra's life was a testament to love, dedication, and service. She was 66 years old.

She shared an unbreakable bond with her daughter, Ashley Merritt (Casey). Debra was the daughter of Alvin and Bobbie Floyd. She is also survived by her brother, Alvin Floyd (Rachel), her niece, Sage Floyd, along with numerous other friends who became an integral part of her life.

A proud alumna of Florida State University, Debra earned her Bachelor's degree and carried the spirit of her alma mater with her always. Her professional journey was unique, as she found joy and fulfillment in working from home for Cigna Healthcare. This arrangement allowed her the flexibility to weave her work with her personal passions, which included a deep commitment to her religious faith, a love for crafts, and reading.

Debra's life was a reflection of her core values: kindness, faith, and love. Her kind-hearted nature made her a friend to many, and her faith-filled life was an inspiration to those who knew her. Her loving approach to life's challenges and triumphs was a lesson in grace and resilience.

The family extends special thanks to Southerncare Hospice and Wiregrass Care for their compassionate support and care in Debra's final days. Their dedication to her comfort and well-being provided solace to her and her loved ones.
