Dennis Perry

Dennis Perry, a resident of Columbia passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at a local hospital.

Dennis was born October 16, 1949 in Union County Tennessee and he resided the early years of his life in Sharps Chapel, Tennessee.  Dennis was employed with Georgia Pacific for 17 years as a boiler operator until the plant closed in 1994.  He returned to construction where he was in the acoustical tile installation business until his retirement in 2009.  Dennis was a single parent who raised his four children and he was a very devoted family man.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Perry and a nephew Travis Perry.

Survivors include his sons, Clifford Warren Rebecca Jacquart Perry, and Robert Scott Heather Perry; his daughters, Ellen Michael Collins and Janet Sullivan; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his mother, Johnnie Thomas; his brothers, James Perry, Larry Perry and Robert E. Perry; several nieces and nephews.
