Dianne Elizabeth DuMars, a resident of Dothan made the transition into eternal life on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at her residence. She was 68 years old. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. DuMars Was born on June 14, 1950 in Kissimmee Florida, to the late John Alfred Sr and Ernestine McKinney- where she married her husband of 40 years, Ron DuMars. After having four children, she relocated to Dothan in 1986 where she lived the rest of her life. In Dothan she was a dedicated Mother and Wife, an active volunteer; holding offices in the "Hang In There" support group, "Individual and Family Support Council" as well as launching "Parent Partners". After her children moved out, she became the office manager for Allstate Insurance for several years. She was also a dedicated Mom, caring for her adult special needs child. Mrs DuMars was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Lynn DuMars; her brother, John McKinney Jr; her brother, George McKinney; her sister, Geraldine Johnson. She is survived by her son, Stephen DuMars (wife, Aracelis) Houston, TX; her daughter, Sherrie Nave (husband, Philip) Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Sherman DuMars (wife, Samantha) Dallas TX, Sidney DuMars, NYC, and Connor, Maddie and Evan Nave, Bowling Green, KY. Burial Date August 4, 2018 Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
